TMD, or temporomandibular joint disorder, refers to a group of conditions that affect the jaw joints and muscles. These issues can cause jaw pain, headaches, facial soreness, clicking or popping sounds, and difficulty opening or closing your mouth.

Sometimes TMD is related to the way your teeth fit together or how your jaws line up. Our orthodontist, Dr. Joshi, will carefully evaluate your bite, jaw movement, and symptoms to look for signs of TMJ problems. Depending on the diagnosis, treatment may include bite adjustments, orthodontic treatment, splints, or coordination with other dental and medical providers.
